Daniel Thomas

Daniel has lived a life dedicated to the craft of storytelling. Born in Birmingham, England, and raised in Melbourne, Australia, he grew up immersed in stories, his mother a writer and father a filmmaker. His passion for film production was sparked early, through a children’s TV workshop and later, as a teenager when he appeared in The Hillmen, a documentary about his soccer team which won 'Best Documentary' at the 1996 AFI Awards. After completing a Bachelor of Arts degree on the Victorian surf coast, he worked in design before leaving Australia in 2008 to tour as a drummer in the UK before ultimately settling in Hamburg, Germany.

​In 2019 he played a lead role in the indie feature film Edda Tudor which streamed on Prime, he also wrote & directed a web pilot Tippy Top which picked up 3 awards at European online festivals & recently played the lead role in Ivan's Gift a short film & ongoing collaboration with Idle Films which screened at cinemas in Hamburg, Berlin & Marseille. ​​ For the Superchargers podcast Daniel interviewed over 100 guests & currently co-hosts a film review show with his father Wolf Cub Film Club. Earning a 'Shodan' in Ninjutsu remains one of his proudest achievements & he takes great pride in being the best father he can be.
